A young snail faces many challenges as it tries to grow safely into an adult. All the facts a young child needs to understand the life of this intriguing backyard creature are packed into Backyard Books.
2. Saturday
In this heartfelt and universal story, a mother and daughter look forward to their special Saturday routine together every single week. But this Saturday, one thing after another goes wrong–ruining storytime, salon time, picnic time, and the puppet show they’d been looking forward to going to all week. Mom is nearing a meltdown…until her loving daughter reminds her that being together is the most important thing of all.
3. Where’s Spot?
This book is absolutely one of the most timeless children’s classics. I don’t know a single shelf that hasn’t housed this at least once. Finding Spot is a special part of each of my children’s lives.
4. Spot Goes to the Farm
Toddlers love baby animals. So does Spot! Join Spot as he visits his dad, working on the farm, and help Spot look for baby animals. Animal sounds pique Spot’s curiosity, and lift-the-flaps reveal who is underneath. After an adventurous search for baby animals, Spot finally finds a litter of kittens. This board book also features a full-color cover, with rounded-edge, sturdy pages that will stand the test of time.
5. That’s Silly!
The zoo gets sillier and sillier in this large lift-the-flap book! Children will love exploring every scene to discover pandas reading, penguins surfing, and lions doing magic tricks–and then lifting over 40 flaps to reveal even sillier surprises underneath! Puzzles are specially created for younger children to help develop early skills in vocabulary, concentration, and attention to detail.
