Supplies Needed To Make a Simple Christmas Craft

  • Double-sided origami paper OR construction paper (we recommend any bright color)
  • paper plate
  • scissors 
  • stapler
  • optional: pom poms, small candy canes, and other decorations.

Instructions To Make Simple Christmas Crafts

Step 1

Cut the paper into strips that are a half inch wide and about four to six inches long – this depends on what kind of paper you use.

Now, cut some paper strips!

Step 2

Cut the hole out of the middle of the paper plate.

Let’s start by cutting a circle from the paper plate.

Step 3

Grab two paper strips and hold the ends together. Use one staple for every two strips to attach them to the plate.

We recommend using one single staple for two strips for easier movement.

Step 4

Keep adding strips next to each other all the way around until you create a circle and cover the whole plate.

What I’d do differently:

This is already one of my favorite Christmas craft ideas, as it’s very easy to do and looks so pretty, but next time I’ll probably use red paper to make it look even more festive.
