Happy Valentines Day for Kids

While Happy Valentine’s Day might be a little mushy and romantic for adults, for kids it means something completely different.

Happy Valentine’s Day for kids means Valentines crafts, Valentines coloring pages, Valentines parties and of course…exchanging Valentine cards — hopefully on your desk at school with your Valentines box and plenty of Valentines candy!

When is Valentines Day?

Valentines Day is always celebrated on February 14. In 2021, Valentine’s Day will fall on a Sunday. When Valentine’s Day falls on a non-school day, it is often celebrated in the classroom the last day before the weekend — Friday, February 12, 2021. Some schools will celebrate it on the Monday afterward, but that is more rare. Since Valentine’s Day is not a declared US public holiday, schools and government offices remain open as usual.

Exchanging Valentines Cards

I think exchanging Valentines is one of the reasons why Valentine’s Day for kids is so different than and fun. We have so many ideas for homemade Valentines in case you forgot to pick them up at the store…or you wanted to make something customized and DIY! Here are a few of our favorites:
