Supplies needed to make Pumpkin Pie Play Dough:

How to Make Pumpkin Pie Play Dough

Mix together the canned pumpkin and the pumpkin pie spice. Slowly add the corn starch, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. The amount of corn starch that you need will vary depending on the canned pumpkin you use. Different brands have different moisture contents — the can we used took 2 1/2 cups. Once the dough reaches the desired consistency, knead it with your hands. Now you’re ready to play! Pumpkin Pie Play DoughPumpkin Pie Play DoughPumpkin Pie Play Dough

Is Pumpkin Pie Play Dough Gluten Free?

If you have a kiddo with a gluten sensitivity or gluten allergy, you probably already know that most of the commercial play dough has wheat in it. The good news is that it’s so easy (and cheap!) to make your own! As long as you use gluten free corn starch, this pumpkin pie play dough is indeed gluten free!

Fun with Play Dough

This pumpkin pie play dough is moist and smushy — it’s the perfect  fall sensory activity! We played with our batch in pie pans with leaf dough stamps. My son loves getting to make his own version of pumpkin pie! You could even add it to a fall sensory bin. The texture would be really fun to explore with colored rice.
