Best and Easy Christmas Crafts
If you’re looking for holiday craft ideas, you’re in the right place. This Christmas season, we got into Christmas crafting instead of shopping. It’s more sustainable as we use supplies that we already got at home and let’s be honest, it’s the perfect time for older kids and younger children to unite and work together toward making something beautiful that you’ll remember for years to come. The best part is that it helps children with their fine motor skills.
Most Christmas craft ideas are too difficult or require a lot of prepping and expensive supplies. Not this one! This is definitely the perfect Christmas craft, as it only requires seven supplies and takes less than an hour to make.
Let’s get into a festive mood and make a fun craft for Christmas!
Supplies Needed To Make Christmas Crafts
- Mason jars
- Mod Podge
- Epsom salt
- Fir branches
- Twine
- Paintbrush
- Ornaments
Steps To Make Christmas Crafts
Step 1
First, you need to wash and dry the mason jar. Once it’s completely dry, coat the jar with the Mod Podge using your paintbrush. Try not to miss any spots!
Step 2
Using a tray with aluminum foil on top, pour a lot (and we mean, a lot) of Epsom salt. Act quickly and roll the jar in the Epsom salt, pushing down slightly. Roll as many times as needed to ensure every space has been covered.
Step 3
Let it dry for several hours.
Step 4
It’s time to decorate! While the glass is drying, cut your twigs and twine to the desired size, and once it’s completely dry, add them to the mason jar. The way you arrange the ornaments is completely up to you.
Step 5
Add personal touches with a holiday theme. And just like that — Your simple craft for Christmas is all done. Easy peasy!
