Today we have a nifty and fun paper plate breakfast craft. Kids of all ages will love making their own pan and paper breakfast. It’s simple, easy, fun, and a budget-friendly craft! Younger kids and older kids alike will be able to do this. Make this breakfast craft at home or in the classroom.

Paper Plate Breakfast Craft
We love easy crafts. We also love breakfast. So why not combine the two? You can use paint, paper plates, scissors, glue, and paper to make a breakfast craft.
Not only is it fun to make, but it will help promote pretend play afterwards. Though, if you’re going to play with it afterwards you may want to make a sturdier handle to actually pick it up. But you can use the handle as is to “fry” up some eggs and bacon.

How To Make This Breakfast Craft
Step 1

Cut another paper plate in half. Use 1 half to hold your paint (we used it for other paint projects too that day) and paint a black streak on the other half. Let it dry.
Step 2
Paint a paper plate black. Let it dry.
Craft Note:
Waxy or Glossy paper plates will require a very thick coat or 2 coats of paint.
Step 3

Draw the egg whites on the white paper. Cut them out.
Step 4

Draw 2 circles on the yellow paper. Cut them out, they’re the egg yolks.
Step 5

Glue the egg yolks onto the egg whites.
Step 6

Make some squiggly pieces of bacon.
Craft Note:
We did cut down 1 piece to make it more even with the other piece.
Step 7

Cut out the bacon. Add red lines on the bacon.
Step 8
Cut the pan handle out of the black streak on the paper plate. One side should be flat and the other round.
Step 9
Hot glue the handle to the plate.
Step 10

Add the food and you’re done!
How To Make This Paper Plate Breakfast Craft Your Own

- Making different paper food.
- You can make a paper plate or cardboard spatula like we did in our grilling craft. (See related link above the supply list.)
- Paint the pan a different color.
- Use yellow pom poms on the eggs to make it more 3D.
- Add white to the bacon to look like fat.
- Make the handle more sturdy for carrying.
Our Experience With This Paper Plate Breakfast Craft
We love pretend play in my house and play food is one of those things all my kids have loved since they were little. It was a toy I remember playing with in the 90’s.
And I think it’s really cool that we can make our own. So we made all of my kids favorites which is eggs and bacon.
We also tried making other food too. Maybe we will share that next time! We hope you have fun making this breakfast craft, we sure did!
