Our Lemonade Cake is super easy to make and comes together in literally 10 minutes or less, if you are willing to use a store bought angel food cake like we did. Buy the lemon frosting too and you’ll literally cut off even more time. Lemonade Cake is the perfect lemon cake recipe for a last-minute dessert, birthdays, potlucks, and even to take to someone that needs a little encouragement.

Lemonade Cake ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make this lemonade cake.

1 prepared angel food cake, bundt style
1 can lemon frosting or your favorite homemade lemon frosting
2 lemons (one for zesting, one for slicing)
peppermint (for garnish)

Directions to make lemonade cake recipe

Step 1

Slice angel food cake in half to form two circles.

Brush off excess crumbs. On bottom layer of cake, spread about a third of the lemon frosting on top.
