I have a lemon bar recipe that I made for years, it was delicious and I craved them but it was a little bit more involved to make them. I couldn’t just mix a couple things together and bake. Then I found this recipe and my life was complete! You think I’m joking but nope – that’s how much I love this recipe!

My son loves to cook and bake as well and this is a recipe that I don’t even have to supervise because he can’t mess it up! It’s a mix-and-done type of recipe, the only way to ruin it is if you burn them!

How to Make Two-Ingredient Lemon Bars recipe

Step 1

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3

Mix together the Angel Food Cake Mix and the lemon pie filling in a medium-sized bowl.

Step 4

Spread in the 9 x 13 pan evenly.

Step 5

Cook for about 25 minutes or until the top is brown.

Notes

These bars have a sponge cake-like consistency, this is due to the angel food cake and how it is a little more light and airy than a traditional cake mix.

We like to add cherry pie filling into this recipe sometimes too and have a slightly different version. It's delicious too!
