We are featuring an interview with Janine today and rounding up some of our favorite True Aim posts this afternoon. Kids Activities Blog is so excited about our best blog series. We are hoping to introduce you to some sites you won't want to miss!
Best Blog
True Aim believes that children are a blessing from God and are born highly intelligent. You’ll find simple parenting tips, exciting learning activities, ways to instill Christian values in your children, and the occasional controversial discussion on her blog!
True Aim
We are interviewing Janine today to find out about the mom behind True Aim.
Why did you begin blogging?
On my blog you will find that I challenge you to think differently about your children's education, and reclaim them! You will define for yourself the purpose of education, stay a while, and discover the joys of teaching your children!
What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog?
I want to inspire them to become highly involved in their children’s education and instill in them the confidence that they are their children’s first and best teacher.
What is it like to live in your home?
In our home you will find
- Audrey who is 5 years old. She loves dressing up, tag, and playing all sorts of games. Her current favorite games are Chess and Mancala. She has a special connection with her daddy and wants to help him do everything.
- Emma is 2 years old. She loves playing house and being a mommy to her little brother. She sings where ever she goes and will spend a long time on the potty because she likes to hear the echo of her voice in the bathroom 🙂
- Colton is 1 year old. He loves to go on walks and dance with mommy. He likes to growl and is always on the move.
What are your kids favorite activities?
My favorite kids activities are active ones. When children are moving and using their bodies they learn so much. Right now, we love playing tag and hide and seek. There are so many opportunities to use your imagination when playing tag and exploring outside. I can even teach my children vocabulary and phonics by incorporating them into the game or just talking about things we find. Active games also help them sleep better at nap time!
What is important to YOU as a blogger?
I recently launched a preschool and kindergarten curriculum site with the curriculum I use for all of the children in my care. Here is my
free ebook for all of you today.
What is your advice to readers?
I have a home preschool and teach children that are not my own. All of the children amaze me at how fast and how much they learn throughout the day. If you can spend 15 minutes a day with your children purposely teaching them something, they will have a big head start when it comes time for more formal schooling.
