Inspiration Laboratories

We are interviewing Trisha today to find out about the mom behind Inspiration Laboratories. Why did you begin blogging? Prior to staying home with my son, I was a teacher. One of my favorite parts of teaching was lesson planning and creating learning opportunities. Now I get to watch and teach my son as we play. What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog? I hope to inspire my readers to try out the things I share “ especially the science ideas. I share suggestions on how to incorporate science learning into everyday activities. It's never too early to start building a foundation for science skills. To help with this, I provide questions to ask during the activity. What is it like to live in your home? My son is the center of my world.  I take my lead from him and guide his learning based on his interests.  My 3 year old son loves to play pretend, tell stories, build with Legos, and run around outside. He enjoys hiking the trails and exploring the woods. Aiden likes to paint himself as much as he likes to paint the paper. He is currently working on mastering the scissors. Inspiration Laboratories2 What are your kids favorite activities? Using stuffed animals and puppets to reenact books is our favorite kids ™ activity. We read our favorite books over and over again until we all know the story line by heart. My son gathers actors (stuffed animals and puppets) and props (toys) to retell the story in his own way. Sometimes the story is nearly word for word the same as the original. Other times the story has morphed into something uniquely his own. It's moments like these that I treasure the most. What is important to YOU as a blogger? You ™ll find lots of  science activities  at Inspiration Laboratories.  I share suggestions on how to incorporate the science learning into your activities.  It's never too early to start building a foundation for science skills. What is your advice to readers? My advice is to be flexible when you introduce an activity to your children. Follow their lead and make changes as needed.
