Frugal Fun for Boys

We are interviewing Sarah today to find out about the mom behind Frugal Fun for Boys. Why did you begin blogging? I started blogging to share ideas with other moms of boys – ideas for activities, but also just thoughts about parenting boys! When I started my blog, I had three sons, and now I have four. Sometimes I feel pretty outnumbered! I think that moms don’t always know what to do with boys and their energy level, and I wanted to pass on some things that have worked for us. I also share homeschooling ideas. What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog? I want moms to know that life with boys is a lot of fun! Even though boys may be loud or messy, they are certainly not simply a burden to bear! I am a Christian mom, and I also want to encourage moms in Biblical parenting. What is it like to live in your home? I’m the wife to my wonderful husband, Jordan and mom to four boys ages 1, 3, 6, and 9. It’s really easy to fall into the pattern of focusing on all of the tasks that must be done and to just get through the day rather than living life with a joyful spirit.

What are your kids favorite activities? We love to build marble runs. We’ve made them with cardboard tubes, pool noodles, and paper plates! We also have fun with Lego and have a weekly feature and linky – Lego Fun Friday. What is your advice to readers? Lately I’ve been reminding myself that I am parenting children – not little adults. They will learn and grow so much in the next few years, and I need to remember that they are just kids!
