Creative Kid Snacks

We are interviewing Amy today to find out about the mom behind all the creative breakfast, lunch, dinner and {of course} snacks! Why did you begin blogging? I began making “creative lunches” for my daughter about a year ago, and posting them on a small mommy blog I had. They became so popular that I decided to create a brand new blog exclusively focusing on that aspect of our lives. What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog? We hope to share our passion for teaching kids to love eating healthy foods by turning snacks and lunches into imaginative creations! creative kid snacks What is it like to live in your home? I have two wonderful little girls. Grace, age 4, is inquisitive, thoughtful, creative, and loves learning. Emma, age 2, is energetic, loving, industrious, and momma’s little helper. What are your kids favorite activities? Our favorite activity is turning lunch or snack time into creative and fun time. As the blog documents, each day we make a creative lunch, and it’s a time that both the girls and I look forward to. Sometimes they come up with the idea and make much of it themselves, sometimes they let me surprise them. As they grow, I hope that they will love to make their own creations both for themselves and perhaps for others as they entertain friends, help plan birthday parties, etc. What is your advice to readers? Nurture those young years with your children. Try to capitalize on each “teachable moment” that comes your way, and use the resources you have to make everyday moments special.
