  2. The natural habitat of giraffes is North and West Africa, including the Sahara, but nowadays they are only found in sub-Sarahan Africa.
  3. Giraffes can run as fast as 35 miles an hour for short distances, or 10mph for long ones.
  4. Giraffe tongues are between 45 and 50 cm long.
  5. Giraffes only need to drink water once every few days, they usually get their water from the plants they eat.
