Today we are doing a fun pumpkin craft! Kids of all ages will love this simple, but fun, pumpkin craft. You need only a few craft supplies. It’s super easy to do and involves fingerpaints and glitter. Some of the best things. This doubles as a fall craft. Do this pumpkin craft at home or in the classroom.
Pumpkin Craft
This pumpkin craft is great for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten kids. Older children can also enjoy this fall craft. You just need a few art supplies which means this is a budget-friendly craft.
You will need our pumpkin printables. I will link them below. I printed them at 75%. We only used one. I let my kids color the second coloring page so it didn’t go to waste. So without further ado, let’s make this pumpkin craft!

Supplies Needed For This Pumpkin Craft
- Black Construction Paper
- Red, Yellow, Orange, Brown, White, Green Acrylic Paint
- Pumpkin Printable (Printed at 75%)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Glitter
How To Make This Fall Pumpkin Craft
Step 1
Download and print our pumpkin printables. Cut out the one with a vine.
Step 2
Place it on top of your black construction paper.
Step 3
Start finger painting dots around the pumpkin. The red, yellow, and orange around the body. The brown and white around the stem, and the green around the vine.
Step 4
Remove the paper and let it dry.
Step 5
Draw lines down the pumpkin with the glue.
Step 6
Cover the glue with glitter and let it dry.
How To Make This Fall Craft Your Own
Just like all our crafts you can make this pumpkin craft your own, you can do stuff like:
- Draw a pumpkin
- Use a different pumpkin printable
- Add glitter to the wet paint
- Use a sponge paintbrush instead of finger painting
Our Experience With This Pumpkin Craft
We love fall. Fall is the best season. It’s when the heat of summer finally dies. And this year… we desperately needed the heat to fade. So, now it’s time for pumpkin!
While I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice, I love pumpkins and all things fall. And so do my kids. Jumping in leaf piles, cocoa, pumpkins, cider, fun movies. It’s great.
So we busted out the finger painting and made our own pumpkins. It was messy, fun, and it involves glitter. We love glitter here!
