Step 1

Glue 2 of the popsicle sticks together using hot glue. You can add 2 more lines and keep it sitting even.

Step 4

While that dries, fold the paper in half and use your zig zag scissors to cut out a heart from the red paper.
Step 5

Fold the white paper over and use the plain scissors to cut out a smaller heart that will fit in the red heart. Glue it on the red heart.
Step 6

Now fold the pink paper over and cut out a smaller heart with the zig zag scissors so it’ll fit in the white heart. Glue it on the white heart.

Our Experience With This Fun Valentine’s Day Craft
We’re still in the Valentine’s day head space here at home and I wanted to make something a little unique. We make cards, and candies, and all sorts of things, but giving someone “the key to your heart” is kind of a lovey saying. And I thought it would be cute to make it into a craft.
My kids had fun, though it was hard to cut the popsicle sticks, would definitely find another way I think, but it’s doable. And they needed help with the hot glue gun.
But they had fun decorating their keys. And I hope your family have as much fun as mine did making these Valentine’s day keys to the heart.
