Our Experience Making Ovaltine Rice Krispie Treats
All through my childhood, my mom would make cookie plates to give away through the holiday season. She would make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies so all the plates had variety. Each year she would try a new recipe and some years it would become a staple on the cookie plate, and sometimes it would disappear never to be made again.

my best holiday memory, was my daughters first Christmas. I love the way her eyes shined, when she looked at the lights. I cried like a baby, because it made me so happy, to be blessed. ๐

I had a Christmas on an island when I was in 7th grade- such a magical experience with Santa on the beach!
I don’t have twitter, but I posted about the giveaway on my facebook wall, does that count?

Christmas 2000, my husband had to go home for the holidays to see his parents and I stayed by myself in the city, San Francisco, that we had just moved to.
I didn’t know a single soul (SERIOUSLY), so Christmas Eve, I made 14 dozen chocolate chip cookies , painstakingly wrapped 4 cookies at a time together with a candy cane. Then Christmas morning, I took BART (the transportation system) to downtown San Francisco and started handing the bundles of 4 cookies and candy cane out to the homeless.
I had a lot of fun talking to people and doing my own thing. The only bad part was that the homeless looked at me like I was from mars and a lot of my cookies were turned down.
Although many turned me down, it is a memory that I will cherish forEVER!
