The holiday season is here, and we’ve made it a Christmas tradition to get together with all family members and do some old-fashioned Christmas crafting. We do everything: handmade gifts, gingerbread houses, pretty Christmas wreaths, and even salt dough ornaments.

It’s a great way to bring home holiday cheer instead of buying plastic things from the dollar tree. This time we’re sharing the perfect Christmas craft: snowflake DIY ornaments made with toilet paper rolls!

These easy Christmas crafts are great for little kids, older kids, and adults of any skill level. It’s a great idea to help little hands enhance their fine motor skills and dexterity. Let’s see what we need for these DIY Christmas decorations.

Supplies Needed For Christmas Tree Crafts

  • a large cardboard tube or toilet paper rolls
  • scissors
  • glue
  • acrylic paints – bright colors or festive colors like gold, silver, and white

Steps To Make Toilet Paper Roll Snowflake

Step 1

Paint the toilet paper rolls in whatever color you prefer, then let them dry.

Let’s start by painting your cardboard tubes.

Step 2

Once they’re dry, cut them into six pieces. First, cut each roll in half and then each half into thirds. Don’t worry about them being perfect; you don’t even have to measure them.

Get your scissors!

Step 3

Glue each section together with regular glue in the middle, let them dry.
