While my kid loves the idea of an ice cream pie, the rashes and tummy sicknesses just aren’t worth it. For her birthday this year, we decided to get creative. Luckily, we didn’t have to do anything too crazy.

This simple pie only has simple ingredients! She was thrilled with her special dessert and we were able to find an easy way to make treats that are safe for our entire family!

3-ingredient dairy-free cream pie ingredients

  • 1 bag of marshmallows
  • 3/4 a bag of chocolate chips (if you truly need dairy-free, check the ingredients of your chocolate chips, a few brands do add milk products)
  • 1 packet of unflavored gelatin
  • 1/3 cup of water

Step 1

Place water and marshmallows in a saucepan. Melt the marshmallows into the water using medium heat. They will become puffy and smooth as they melt.

Step 2

Add both the chocolate chips and the gelatin mixture into the saucepan.

Step 3

Stir the mixture constantly until the lumps disappear and the color becomes uniform.

Step 4

Pour your warm, melty mixture into the crust.
