Caution Twins at Play
We are interviewing Kristen today to find out about the mom behind Caution Twins at Play.
Why did you begin blogging?
Caution Twins at Play use to be a group blog about twins/multiples but now it is a play based learning blog about homeschooling for preschool & beyond with my Twins.
What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog?
I hope to inspire and show parents that it can be fun and easy to homeschool their children, even if their children are multiples for preschool and beyond. I also hope to inspire other parents to invest in good toys, as well as art and craft supplies for their children.
What is it like to live in your home?
I have five children ranging from 4-16 years old.
- Haley (16) -daughter
- Cameron (14) – son
- Mackenna (12) – daughter
- Graham and Parker (4) – fraternal twin sons
What are your kids favorite activities?
We love messy play with one of our fun slime concoctions in the backyard! I also love to watch or assist while the kids are building intricate castles with magna tiles on the light table or activity table!
What is important to YOU as a blogger?
I blog what we play and learn! Our homeschooling curriculum reflects play based learning, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and some Waldorf.
What is your advice to readers?
My advice is to let go of the boundaries and expectations set by your family- past to present – and enjoy life with your kids. Make your home kid friendly in every room inside and out! Your kids are only kids once. Save the fancy furniture and decor for when they are all grown up, just don’t forget to leave a nice big area of play space for your future grandchildren!
