Mom, can you make us a smoothie?

This blueberry-banana smoothie recipe is hands down my kids’ favorite snack, dessert, or meal drink, no kidding!

This is the smoothy-est smoothie!

Well, actually their other favorites are strawberry & banana and chocolate & banana.

Last night, we made blueberry & banana smoothies which used one of the small clamshell packages of blueberries {pictured above}.

The other good thing about making smoothies is that the kids can help with every step. Sometimes I guide the recipe a bit when they come up with crazy fruit combinations that I am afraid won’t be willingly consumed.

blueberry-banana Smoothie Recipe ingredients

  • 1 cup of vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of milk {may need more if the yogurt is thick}
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/2 “ 1 cup of fruit (or a few spoonfuls of chocolate milk powder/syrup)
  • 2 cups of ice
  • COOL WHIP whipped topping

NOTE: This will fill my blender and make 3 LARGE servings for my three boys.   Likely the REAL amount would easily serve 4.

Step 1

Blend the yogurt, bananas, and fruit together adding just enough milk to make it blend easily.

Step 2

Once these ingredients are combined to desired consistency, add the ice and blend.

Step 3

Pour into glasses and add your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Yield: 4 servings

This blueberry-banana recipe is my kid's favorite, so you should definitely give it a try! A refreshing mixture of blueberry and banana, yogurt, ice, and the goodness of love in the family! This is the perfect hit!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of ice
  • COOL WHIP whipped topping

    1. Put the yogurt, bananas, and fruit together in a blender, adding just enough milk to make it blend easily.
    2. Once these ingredients are combined to desired consistency, add the ice and blend.
    3. Transfer into glasses and add the toppings! Serve and enjoy!
