Supplies Needed To Make This Valentine’s Day Bookmark
- Zig Zag Scissors

- Red Acrylic Paint
- Hole Puncher
- Green Marker
- Yarn or Ribbon
How To Make This Valentine’s Day Bookmark Craft
Step 1

Cut out a rectangle strip of paper from the construction paper. Make sure the paper is horizontal when you cut.

Cut on both sides so both sides have texture.
Step 2

Dip your finger in red acrylic paint, dab off excess, and first press your finger to the left at an angle.

Redip and do it to the right to create a heart. Repeat.
Craft Note:
We learned the hard way that you need to hold the paper down where you are pressing your finger paints or it’ll not be so pretty.
Step 3

Once dry, punch a whole at the top.
Step 4

Add a string by looping it through the whole and tying it in a knot.
How To Make This Valentine’s Day Bookmark Craft
Just like all our other crafts you can make this one your own. You can do things like:
- Use foam instead of paper
- Don’t punch a hole and add string/ribbon
- Add glitter
- Use stickers
- Make your book marks different sizes
- Use a different shaped hole punch
- Cut out the bookmark using regular scissors

Our Experience With This Valentine’s Day Bookmark Craft
We love reading in this house. All of us enjoy our fantasy books. However, despite buying bookmarks, they somehow disappear or get lost and books get dog eared.
So we made our own. And since it’s close to Valentine’s day we made them heart themed, because why not? This is the craft my little ones and bigger kids could both easily do. And let’s be honest, it’s a fairly cheap craft especially if you have most of the things on hand.
But I hope your family has as much as mine did making this Valentine’s day bookmark craft.
