Our Experience Making Ovaltine Rice Krispie Treats

All through my childhood, my mom would make cookie plates to give away through the holiday season.   She would make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies so all the plates had variety.   Each year she would try a new recipe and some years it would become a staple on the cookie plate, and sometimes it would disappear never to be made again.

  1. I was allergic to chocolate when I was little. Yes it was torture. My mom would always make me Ovaltine malts and warm them up. She said it was my special hot chocolate. Just for me. I even had a special mug my aunt made for me with my name on it I would drink from. Now my son is allergic to chocolate too. He is two and I just bought his first malt Ovaltine. This will be his special hot chocolate when it is cold outside and the other kids are having the real hot chocolate. I hope to make the same memories with him and Ovaltine.
