Free Printable Book Report Templates
Book reports are more than a fun way for kids to record information about books they’ve read! They actually provide a ton of benefits that you may not be aware of.
For starters, our book report template helps kids understand stories better. When they write about the characters, the setting, and the plot, they get a deeper understanding of what they’ve read, helping them enhance their critical thinking skills.
Our free book report template boosts writing skills, as kids get a chance to practice organizing their thoughts and expressing them clearly. And if they are very new with writing, they can draw in their answers in some of the spaces we’ve provided!
Not only that, but our free printable book report helps kids develop a sense of responsibility as they should fill out the template after reading every book. There are many more benefits, but let’s move on to the printable book report now!
My Book Report Template With Basic Information
Our first book report template has blank spaces for kids to fill out the basic information about the book, such as the author, book title, setting, characters, etc. But my favorite thing is that it includes a “my favorite part of the story was” so kids can really think about the story and define what they liked best – and why!
Our second book report template is a page filled with deeper questions, such as lessons learned, favorite quotes, and even summarizing the story in 3 parts. This second page is better for older kids as it includes more writing and less drawing.
