Summer reading is a must if you want to keep your kids reading skills sharp and Barnes & Noble knows this too.

In fact, they want to help by giving kids free books this summer!

Barnes & Noble is Giving Kids Free Books This Summer

This Summer Barnes & Noble is allowing kids to earn free books to keep them entertained and interested with reading through their summer reading program.

This program is available for kids in grades 1-6.

Here is how it works:

  1. Visit the Barnes and Noble summer reading program and choose any 8 books from the list that you want to read.
  2. Record the 8 books your child reads in the Summer Reading Journal and Tell them which part of the book is your favorite, and why.
  3. When you’re done, bring it to a Barnes & Noble store and choose your free book! Redeemable 7/1-8/31.

The Free Books Included this year include:

There are many titles choose from including:

Plus many more!

  1. I agree with Linda’s comment, teachers and parents should promote and support the local library summer reading program in your town. It’s free!

  2. I was going to share the info about the Barnes and Noble reading incentive program with parents. It is only available to members, so there is a cost involved. If affordability is important, as it is for many families, better to encourage families to sign up for public library summer reading programs.
