Our children love pineapple and since our road trip to Disney they can’t get enough of this frothy drink that is known as Dole Whip at the Disney properties.

On a hot summer day this Walt Disney World dole whip float is perfect. It’s full of simple ingredients like crushed fresh pineapple or frozen pineapple. Make a refreshing treat with this Disney copycat recipe. This homemade version is so similar to the original recipe.

Homemade Pineapple Dole Whip Recipe

A play on a Magic Kingdom fan favorite, the Disney pineapple whip is sure to make your princes and princesses feel like a day spent in the backyard sprinkler is as wonderful as a day at the Disney parks.

Pineapple Dole Whip Drink ingredients

  • 2 cans (20 oz. each) crushed pineapple
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups Cool Whip
  • Pineapple juice (as much or as little as you want)

Step 1

Let’s start making this easy recipe. Drain the crushed pineapple and reserve 2 tbsp. of juice. Set aside.

Step 2

Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved juice in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Blend just a bit longer than you think you need to ensure it won’t be lumpy.

Step 3

Pour into a gallon zipped freezer bag and store flat in the freezer for about 1-1/2 hours until it becomes a slushy consistency.

Step 4

In a large bowl, gently fold the pineapple mixture into a Cool Whip until blended. Return to the freezer for about 1 hour until completely frozen.

Step 5

Scoop the ice cream into a glass and fill the rest of the way with your juice. Fancy it up with sprinkles, fruit, whipped cream, or anything else your little hearts desire! Now your sweet treat is ready!

Recipe Notes:

You can use dairy-free ice cream if you’re lactose intolerant. This frozen treat is for everyone. You can use coconut milk ice cream, oat milk ice cream, or lactose free ice cream.
