While we love our fresh fruit, fruit cups are convenient and tasty — especially when you add in a special touch. That special touch, thanks to some new Del Monte fruit cups now available at Costco: popping boba!

Why this Popping Boba in Del Monte Fruit Cups is So Tasty

Chances are, when you hear “boba,” you think tapioca pearls, like the ones you find in the bottom of bubble tea. But hold up. That’s not what the boba in this fruit cup is!

While some kids love the tapioca pearls found in bubble tea (my oldest is one of them), not all kids are keen on chewy tapioca pearls. So, rest assured.

This boba may look like bubbles… but they’ve got strawberry lemonade in them instead of tapioca! They’re more similar to the fruity boba you may have seen and enjoyed at frozen yogurt places.

The Del Monte fruit cup is largely made up of cut-up peaches, but the pearls give the snack some extra flavor and texture. As kids take a bite, the pearls will “burst,” adding an extra layer of deliciousness and fun at snack time.

Will my kids try to pop them in the cup? Chances are, yes. But here’s hoping that they enjoy eating them even more than making a mess.

Since this find is available at Costco, you’ll also be happy to know that there’s an amazing 16 fruit cups in every pack. Even better, you’ll get all those Del Monte peach and bubble fruit cups for just $7.49.

Want to try other flavors? Amazon sells some other bubble fruit flavors, including pear berry pomegranate, sour apple watermelon, and tropical mixed fruit. For a total of 24 cups, prices start at $14.04, depending on flavor.
