Our warm apple and oats recipe can be customized in endless ways. You can add raisins, nuts, chia seeds, honey, and other goodies to make your perfect apple oatmeal. You only need 2 ingredients to get started.

Warm Apples and Oats ingredients
Here’s what you need to make this easy oats recipe.
- 3 cups applesauce, we used homemade, but purchased will certainly also work!
- 1/2 cup steel cut oats

Step 1
In a large bowl, or smaller containers, portion out your apple sauce. We used smaller containers that are easy to grab and go for the office and school.
Step 2
Divide the dry oats evenly between the containers and give a really thorough stir.
Step 3
Place in the refrigerator for a couple hours and then stir again.
Step 4
Let sit overnight so that all of the apple goodness will be absorbed into the oats.
Step 5
Stir again in the morning, or whenever you’re ready to enjoy them.
These are greatly chilled, warm with a small drizzle of pure maple syrup or room temperature.
