One of the ways I have used my essential oils the most since purchasing them has been to help myself and my family fall asleep. Lavender has been used in this way for a long time and it’s so popular because it works.
There are lots of ways you can use your oils to help you sleep including some really great DIY’s you can make yourself. Here are my top ten favorites.
7 Ways To Use Essential Oils To Help You Sleep
In A Diffuser – Just putting lavender into your diffuser and letting it run while you rest is one of the easiest ways to use them. I love filling the room with a relaxing aroma and it almost makes it impossible to not fall asleep! (See below for special oil + diffuser deal.)
On Skin – You can also put a drop of lavender on your temples, the back of the neck, or your wrists.
Massage Oil – Use lavender in this homemade massage oil recipe. This works really great with kids and is a fantastic way to unwind and relax before bedtime.
Bath Melts – Another simple DIY you can make are these oil bath melts that helps to moisturize your skin and relax you for sleep. It only takes two-ingredients!
In Your Bath Water – You can also put a few drops of lavender directly in your bath water!
Pillow Spray – Make a simple linen spray with lavender and add a few spritzes to your pillow before bedtime.
Kids Teddy Bear – Put a few drops of lavender on your kids favorite stuffed animal and let them sleep with it.
