Easy homemade Slushies & slurpees
Make a more healthy natural option for the Slurpee at home! Choose from Banana, Kool-Aid, Ice cream floats, Almond Vanilla, and Strawberry!

1. Banana Slurpee Recipe
This is my husband’s favorite! Never had any leftover any time I have made it! Can be made ahead of time and then left out for a few hours to then mash into Slurpee.
Ingredients Needed To Make Banana Slushy
- 2 frozen bananas
- 10 ice cubes
- 1/4 c water
- 3 Tbls – 1/4c agave nectar – depends on your sweetness needs and ripeness of fruit
How To Make Banana Slurpee
- Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth like a slurpee.
- Top with cacao powder, nutmeg powder & cacao nibs or NOTHING. My kids like it with nothing, of course.
2. Kool-Aid SluShie Recipe
Did you know you can make Slurpees with Kool-Aid too? You can make it into any flavor you like as long as Kool-Aid makes up that flavor.
Ingredients Needed To Make Kool Aid Slurpee:
- 1 packet of Kool-Aid, any flavor
- 2 c. Club Soda
- ½ c. sugar
- 2½ c. crushed ice
How To Make Kool Aid Slushie
- Put the Kool-Aid powder, sugar, and 1 c. Club Soda in a blender. Process till smooth and dissolved.
- Add the ice and blend until smooth.
- Add the remaining cup of Club Soda and blend. It should be slushy, but put it in the freezer for about 30-45 minutes to thicken up.
3. Slurpee Ice Cream Floats
Pull out the blender and whip up some slushies, then add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Bonus! These will fast become your new favorite treat for cooling off.
Ingredients Needed To Make Slurpee Ice Cream Floats:
- .13 ounce package of unsweetened powdered drink mix any flavor
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar can add up to an additional 1/4 cup to taste
- 4 cups ice
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
How To Make Slurpee Ice Cream Floats:
- In a blender, combine drink powder, water, sugar, and ice. Blend.
- Pour into two large glasses or four small glasses and add a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream.
4. Almond Vanilla Slurpee Recipe
This almond vanilla Slurpee is my solution for evenings when I want a cold and creamy treat, without consuming something that’s too dense or difficult on my digestive system. It’s light and sweet, and tastes similar to vanilla ice cream while remaining dairy-free!
Ingredients To Make Almond Vanilla Slushie
- 1/4c almonds and/or brazil nuts
- 5 Tbls agave nectar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 8 cubes of ice
How To Make Almond Vanilla Slurpee
- Combine all ingredients EXCEPT ICE in a blender until smooth.
- Strain out the nuts using a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer saving the milk in a bowl.
- Then use the milk portion, NOT THE NUT PULP, and combine again in a blender with ice.
- Add more agave if need be.
5. Strawberry Lemonade Slurpee
These are PERFECT for those super hot, steamy days when you just need to cool off. What a fun after-school treat, too!
Ingredients Needed To Make Strawberry Lemonade Slurpee:
- 1 packet Lemonade Kool-Aid
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups seltzer or club soda
- 5 large strawberries stems removed
- 2 1/2 cups ice
How To Make Strawberry Lemonade Slurpee:
- Place all ingredients in blender.
- Pulse until ice is finely crushed.
- Serve immediately – don’t forget the straw!
