Our Experience Making Ovaltine Rice Krispie Treats

All through my childhood, my mom would make cookie plates to give away through the holiday season.   She would make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies so all the plates had variety.   Each year she would try a new recipe and some years it would become a staple on the cookie plate, and sometimes it would disappear never to be made again.

  1. I will always remember my grandma getting my cousin and I (we’re 9 months apart) the EXACT same gift for a very long time. One Christmas we even sat next to each other, opened them simultaneously and then exploded in laughter upon seeing the [outrageous] matching sweaters. Sooo much fun!

  2. I remember one year I got a rosemary mini christmas tree. I put lights on it and it made the whole house smell so good. I think the heat got to it though and it died. I was so sad.

  3. My favorite holiday memory is opening up stockings on my grandparents farm in our jammies and eating chocolate gravy for breakfast ๐Ÿ™‚
