Directions to Make These Metallic Watercolor Ornaments
Step 1
To begin, use a round paintbrush to create a tree-like background. Place paintbrush onto paper and gently flip your wrist to the side in an upward, sweeping motion. Paint each stroke using the same technique. Be careful not to completely cover or oversaturate the paper.
Note: Wet layers of watercolor paints will bleed into one another. Dry time between steps will vary based on how much paint is applied to the paper, and what type of paper is used.
Step 2
Then, using metallic watercolors, paint the rim of a plastic cup, cookie cutter, or other item to easily stamp an ornament outline.
Step 3
Next, carefully paint the inside of the ornament.
Step 4
Finally, paint highlights, tops, and hangers onto the ornaments.
