We are interviewing Cintia today to find out about the mom behind My Poppet. Why did you begin blogging? I original began blogging to market my handmade children’s clothing boutique many years ago. I’ve made so many friends and learned so much through blogging that when the store closed I devoted all my energies to blogging. I love it! What do you hope to inspire in the parents who read your blog? I love to encourage being creative with just the objects and materials you have on hand. Crafting and creating in this way can develop life long skills that will stay with your children and encourage self sufficiency, well into their adult life. What is it like to live in your home? I have a 3 year old daughter named Emma. She is a dynamo that never runs out of energy. She often has trouble focusing on tasks for long periods of time. I try to structure activities that we can work on together with a sensory component to keep her engaged.

What are your kids favorite activities? At the moment we particularly enjoy baking cookies and cakes. Emma loves to mix the batter and cut out shapes. She helps me measure ingredients and of course eat the delicious treats afterwards. What is important to YOU as a blogger? My Poppet is dedicated solely to craft DIY projects. Tune in every Thursday for your weekly dose of crafty inspiration. What is your advice to readers? Embrace the chaos and don’t sweat the small stuff. The dishes will get done eventually!
