  3. In 2019, this ancient city was the 17th most visited city in the world, with 10.32 million foreign tourists.
  4. The ancient Romans were known for their engineering marvels, such as the construction of aqueducts, roads, and monumental buildings that still stand in modern Rome.
  5. Rome is one of the best places to see feral cats: there are around 300,000 cats in Rome, 180,000 live with a family, and 120,000 are feral.
