Weather Learning for Kids

We’ve been discussing the weather and meteorologists at school. One of the jobs the kids do each morning is to look out the window and see what the weather is like. So, I had them paint what it looked like using cotton balls. That particular day it was cloudy and rainy. I gave them black and white paint and they learned that if they mixed it together it made grey.

How to make weather art

Take a look outside. Is it sunny, cloudy, rainy, or storming, or maybe there is snow falling? Have kids paint what they see. Give them basic colors to use so that they can experiment mixing colors together, such as black and white to make grey, and red and yellow to make orange.
