Summers are filled with fun, crafts, experiments, games, and tons of things to do with kids. Yes, even if you are stuck at home! COVID-19 has impacted our lives, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good time.
This October, your family and you will be able to experience the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show in a whole different way. This year’s show will be a bit different, but don’t worry, it’s still happening!
The annual event will be the first drive-in air show in North Texas! Definitely, an experience that you can’t miss if you want a unique, exciting, and great time in fort worth texas.
2020 Air Show
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will take off from the Fort Worth Alliance Airport and fly through the North Texas skies at the 30th Anniversary of the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show on October 17 and 18, 2020.
Attending the alliance air show is a great moment to talk about planes and how they work. Something as simple as learning how to make a paper airplane or playing a paper airplane game for kids can be exciting and captivating lessons for children interested in aviation.
Do you know why turbulences happen? This jello experiment will have turbulence explained in a fun and easy way!
Outdoor activities for kids
This year’s circumstances opened doors to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Fort Worth Alliance Air Show in a completely different and exciting way while still keeping everyone safe.
“Our newly reformatted event will be a memorable, fun, and socially distanced drive-in experience as we celebrate 30 years of soaring excellence”, said Christina Carey, director of special projects for Alliance Air Productions.
In order to slow the spread of COVID-19, you and your kids may feel bored at home. But outdoor activities for kids, like the Alliance air show, are still possible with proper social distancing, use of mouth masks, and other safety measures like washing your hands often.
According to the Alliance Airshow‘s website, “The Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is dedicated to creating a vibrant air show that gives back to the community and supports, sustains, and grows our region’s aviation legacy by honoring our military and veterans, raising funds for local nonprofit organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and engaging and inspiring the future generation to explore a career in aviation.”

Safety is a priority, at this airshow!
With health and safety as the top priority, social distancing standards and additional protocols will be in place. Each vehicle will be appropriately separated – with one space for the vehicle and the adjoining space for guests to sit safely and picnic. Guests still will be able to photograph, see and feel the heart-thumping roar of the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and other best-in-class performers. The drive-in experience will not include static displays, exhibitors, kids’ inflatables, paid seating areas or chalets.
