Now that it’s heating up here in Southern California, my wife and I are getting our backyard ready so the family can have fun and stay cool. We’ve looked into above-ground pools and also into floating pool game toys.
Another thing that can be added to a fun and relaxing backyard is a tree swing.
Tree swings make me think about being a young kid in my Grandpa’s backyard. They’re fun, relaxing and just a cool thing to see. Don’t you want to swing on one every time you see a tree swing? The great thing is that there are so many different kinds then when we were younger!
Besides the tire swing, the most iconic tree swing to me is the Little Tikes swing that has been around for so many years! My younger cousins had one, my kids had one and this awesome swing is still around today!
Platform swings are great because more than one kids can lay on it, swing and look up at the clouds. Seems like such a relaxing way to spend time outside!
Tree Swings don’t have to be dull or boring! Finding one that is bright and colorful is not only appealing to kids but makes for a little pop of color in your yard.
If your child would rather have a nice, relaxing play time in the backyard, maybe a hanging chair is more their speed. I adore this one because not only does it look like such a fun place for little kids to play, it has lights inside and I just love that!
Need to get even more energy out? How about a swing that you not only can swing on but you can bounce on, as well!
As a mom of 3, I can imagine it not going so well having just one swing. Instead of making kids wait their turn, having one swing that lets multiple kids swing at one time is a great idea! Find one that holds a good amount of weight, like this curved tree swing that holds up to 400 lbs!
Tree swings don’t have to just be for the kids either! A comfortable hammock swing is perfect for spending time outside, relaxing with a good book and a cold glass of iced tea. Plus, it holds up to 350 lbs!
Have an older child that is a little more adventurous? This Air Surfer Swing brings surfing and swinging together in one (I personally will stick to the hammock swing!)
And if you don’t have a tree to hang a swing out, it’s great to know that you can purchase a portable tree swing and take it to your favorite park or take it to a family member’s house that has an awesome tree in their yard!
No matter what swing you choose, I’m sure it will be a perfect addition to your yard!
