Easy Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles
You can’t enjoy summer without bubbles and while bubbles are fun on their own, Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles are far more fun to make and play with.
We have a super easy way to make awesome colored bubbles that light up the night! They are so easy, they are the perfect night game to bust out with the entire neighborhood!

Glow In The Dark Bubbles
Before we get going on making these super cool bubbles, I do want to mention that this craft involves using glow sticks that are cut open.
While the chemicals inside glow sticks are typically non-toxic, they should be handled with care.
For that reason, I highly recommend an adult be present and help cut these open. I also highly recommend using gloves in the process (something we forgot to do).
Okay, now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s get to making some glowing bubbles! (This post contains affiliate links.)
Supplies You Need to Make Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles:

- Glow Sticks (you want several of the same colors)
- Bubbles
- Scissors
- Gloves
How to Make Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles:
Step 1
First, start by opening your bubbles and cracking your glow sticks.

Step 2
Next, have an adult take sharp scissors and cut open one end of the glow stick and start pouring out the glowing mixture into a container of bubbles. If you have a hard time getting the substance to come out, snip off the other end of the glow stick and it will help move things along.

Step 3
Repeat the steps above for each color of bubbles you want to make. Keep in mind, the more glow sticks you add to your bubbles, the brighter the bubbles will be. We used about 5-6 sticks per container of bubbles.

Step 4
Finally, blow the bubbles in a dark area and watch them glow. These bubbles glow faintly when blown and it’s more noticeable in the dark.
Tip:
You can also use a black light to see them even better. The glowing effect only lasts about 10-15 minutes since the glow sticks have been opened but it does provide some easy, night time fun!
If you want to enhance the glow, you can add glow-in-the-dark paint to the bubbles and mix that in as well for an added glowing effect.
