We used a circle paper punch to make the base for our sun, but you could also invite kids to trace a mug or old CD.

This craft makes an especially cute refrigerator magnet if you place a strip of magnetic tape to the back.

My kids like playing with it and moving all the clothespins to the top of the circle to make the sun look like it has hair!
