This craft is simply made with fingerprints. The whole painted picture is fingerprints–kids will love the hands-on process of creating this beautiful spring craft!

Step 1

Have a small dish of water and paper towel on hand so that children can rinse their fingertips, as needed.

Step 2

Start by dipping fingertips into blue paint to make the cloud and raindrops.

Step 3

Use the green to make a line of grass, and a few stems along the bottom of the paper.

Step 4

Use various colors to make flower petals on the stems!

Our Experience With This Fun Spring Craft

I love spring and so do my kids. We’re no longer stuck in the house because of the cold. We get to enjoy flowers, rain, but sometimes those rainy days keep us inside! This finger painting craft was perfect for that day. Not only does April showers bring May flowers, but finger painting brings great fine motor skills practice.
