Are Lego’s taking over your house? We are always on the lookout for
IKEA Lego Organization ideas. My blogging partner, Holly, discovered
How to Create a Lego Table. If only we had the space for something like that! My kids love visiting their “Lego Room”!
With six kids in the house and more legos than you could imagine, we had to come up with another
lego hack…
Meet our Trofast System.
Organize Legos
The
Trofast System from Ikea is a bunch of bins that slide in on rails inside a set of shelf-like units. Like Legos, there are a lot of pieces to put together, but it was pretty easy and we got our shelf unit up in a morning – Just in time to be a Christmas Surprise!
IKEA Hack
The Trofast system has a variety of drawer/bin options. The Multi-Level Unit that we chose fits 6 large bins. These are perfect for our family. We have six kiddos. Each child has a separate bin to keep their legos and their creations!
On the top of the levels in the Lego Storage unit you can glue base plates. They are the perfect place to create mini-worlds. Like our
Lego Storage Mat? We keep the “communal pile” of legos inside a DIY Lego Mat. You can use the drawstring and cinch the bag, and all the legos, up off the floor. That
Lego Tip really help keep the bricks from being land mines in the night!
So far this
Lego Organization Unit has helped keep arguments at bay as everyone has their own “space” for their projects.
Any guesses on how long that will last?
