Our Experience Making Ovaltine Rice Krispie Treats
All through my childhood, my mom would make cookie plates to give away through the holiday season. She would make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies so all the plates had variety. Each year she would try a new recipe and some years it would become a staple on the cookie plate, and sometimes it would disappear never to be made again.

One of my favorite childhood memories is of a spiced torte we received one year from family in Iceland, where my father is from. It was like gingerbread, only much better, and it was sliced into many thin layers with icing in between. We ate it on Christmas morning. It was when my childhood was still all happy and wonderful, before my brothers and I hit adolescence, my mother hit menopause, etc.
My favorite holiday memory is watching a christmas story with my mom and brother on Christmas Eve. This tradition has now been passed down to my children. We leave the tv on all day on a chistmas story while we wrap gifts and bake our goodies

One of my first holiday memories is making sugar cookies and “painting” on them with colored icing. So much easier now that we can buy pre-made dough and mix!
