Our Experience Making Ovaltine Rice Krispie Treats
All through my childhood, my mom would make cookie plates to give away through the holiday season. She would make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies so all the plates had variety. Each year she would try a new recipe and some years it would become a staple on the cookie plate, and sometimes it would disappear never to be made again.

We love to put ovaltine in our coffee. It makes the best chocolate coffee and is a lot better than chocolate coffee creamer. The rich and choclately flavor makes our morning coffee more a treat than a wake me up drink. Try it in your coffee or tea for a treat to remember!
On Christmas eve our daughter, son in law and grandson come to our house. We have all kinds of snacks prepared. We play games, drink a cup of hot chocolate ovaltine. Then we sit beside the Christmas tree and I tell the story of Baby Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas. It is such a joyous time for us. We watch our grandson who is now 4 years old eyes light up from the story of Jesus and knowing when he wakes up the wonderful surprises that will be under the tree for him. Christmas is a very special time in our family.
My favorite Christmas memory is making decorations with my sister using popcorn and Cheerios.
