Materials Needed:
- One square piece of origami paper
- A black marker or pen
Step 1
Start with a square piece of paper.
Step 2
Fold the paper in half crosswise.
Step 3
Fold half of the bottom part up.
Step 4
Fold half of the top part down, until both the top and bottom meet in the middle.
Step 5
Open all the folds and rotate the paper.
Step 6
Fold the paper in half crosswise again.
Step 7
Fold half of the top part down and open.
Step 8
Fold half of the bottom part up and open.
Step 9
Turn the paper over.
Step 10
Fold the bottom right and left corners up.
Step 11
Turn the paper over.
Step 12
Fold the bottom part up to the first line.
Step 13
Fold the right part to the first line.
Step 14
Fold the left part to the first line.
Step 15
Turn the paper over.
Step 16
Fold the paper from the bottom to the first line on the top.
Step 17
Fold the left corner down to the middle.
Step 18
Fold the right corner down to the middle.
Step 19
Undo the last fold on the right side, untuck the flap, and fold down again as shown in the picture.
Step 20
Repeat on the left side.
Step 21
Fold the right side in half, outwards.
Step 22
Repeat the previous step on the left side.
Step 23
Take the right side and fold it inwards.
Step 24
Repeat the previous step on the left side. It’s finally starting to look like an owl!
Step 25
Fold the top tip down to create the owl’s beak.
Step 26
Flip the paper over.
Step 27
Fold the bottom left part up to the middle line.
Step 28
Fold the bottom right part up to the middle line.
Step 29
Flip over and draw the eyes and other details with your marker.
Step 30
Your origami owl is ready!

- Fold the left part to the first line.
- Turn the paper over.
- Fold the paper from the bottom to the first line on the top.
- Fold the left corner down to the middle.
- Fold the right corner down to the middle.
- Undo the last fold on the right side, untuck the flap, and fold down again as shown in the picture.
- Repeat on the left side.
