Instructions to make a paper ghost
These easy origami ghosts make fantastic Halloween decorations or a fun art project for any time of the year. Get creative and experiment with different sizes and expressions to make your ghosts uniquely yours!
Step 1:
Start with a square paper.
Step 2:
Fold diagonally and open.
Step 3:
Fold diagonally in the other direction, and open.
Step 4:
Fold the left corner inward to the middle line.
Step 5:
Repeat this fold with the two other sides of your ghost, leaving one corner unfolded.
Step 6:
Open the folds.
Step 7:
Fold the bottom corner upward to meet the first line, forming a triangle inside the main figure.
Step 8:
Turn the paper upside down, and accordion fold the right corner until it reaches the middle line.
Step 9:
Repeat the accordion fold on the left side.
Step 10:
Carefully open the right side and squash fold the top part to form a smaller triangle shape.
Step 11:
Repeat the squash fold on the other side.
Step 12:
Fold the bottom right side toward the middle line, crease, and repeat on the left side to form a tip.
Step 13:
Fold the left and right top corners inwards.
Step 14:
Flip the figure over and fold the tips of the left and right triangles downwards to create spooky ghost arms.
Step 15:
Fold the bottom tip to the side to create the iconic ghost tail.
Step 16:
For the last step, draw the face of your ghost origami using a black marker.
