I still miss the Babies R Us and Toys R Us Car Seat Trade-In Events, they also knew how to put on a good event. But, those days are gone and now we other retailers to look to for this yearly event. While we already had Target’s event, we can now add Walmart to the list of retailers because Walmart’s First Ever Car Seat Trade-In Event Is Here, Here’s What You Need to Know!

Walmart’s First Ever Car Seat Trade-In Event Is Here, Here’s What You Need to Know

Beginning September 16, 2019 Walmart will host their first-ever car seat trade-in event during Baby Month and their event is different than Target’s or Toy R Us’s event!

“Walmart and TerraCycle are joining forces to launch the nation’s largest car seat recycling event in nearly 4,000 Walmart stores across the country.

The first-ever Walmart Car Seat Recycling Event will take place Sept. 16-30, in celebration of National Baby Safety Month. Customers can trade in used car seats at the Service desk in any participating Walmart store and receive a $30 Walmart gift card* that can be used in store or online to buy items for their baby. All car seats collected in this program will be recycled through TerraCycle, and each component will be diverted from the landfill.” (Source)

So, instead of receiving a coupon valid for a percentage off a new car seat, you’ll actually receive a $30 Walmart Gift Card you can use on anything for your baby! Now that is awesome!

All you need to do is visit your local Walmart September 16, 2019 – September 30, 2019 and drop off your old car seat to the customer service counter. You’ll then receive a $30 Walmart gift card! You can do this for up to 2 car seats per household.

There is some fine-print on the gift cards:

*Walmart $30 gift card offer with car seat trade in valid September 16, 2019 through September 30, 2019 at participating Walmart retail store locations. Not available at all Walmart Neighborhood Market locations. Limit of 2 gift cards per household. Booster seats not eligible for trade-in. Please see Customer Service desk for assistance with all car seat trade-ins. Gift cards subject to terms and conditions found here.

September is officially Baby Month at Walmart so this is the perfect time to trade up or get new baby items your growing baby needs!
