American Flag Craft are Fun for Holidays
Popsicle stick American flags are quick and easy holiday craft ideas and great for kids of all ages.
Whenever my children are home from school due to a patriotic holiday that honors those who have fought or are currently fighting for our country, I try to incorporate an age-appropriate discussion as to why the kids are off, and the meaning behind the day. Crafting is the perfect activity for this conversation!
We first made this craft to observe Veterans Day.
The Flag Code guidelines are to display the USA flag every day, but especially on holidays including state holidays and local celebrations. The Patriotic holidays are identified as:
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Bill of Rights Day
