Let’s make a creamy butternut squash pasta sauce
There are many ways to cook butternut squash.
My favorite way to prepare butternut squash (and other squashes) is to simply cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, wrap in foil, and bake in pan on 250 F for 3-4 hours.
Other people omit wrapping in foil, and simply place in the microwave to cook for 10-20 minutes (cooking time depends on your appliance). Either way, it tastes great and you can’t go wrong.
After the squash is cooked thoroughly, simply scoop out the flesh from the skin. I served this Creamy Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce over frozen pre-made cheese-stuffed tortellini pasta.
