  • 1 to 2 pound flank steak
  • scant 1 1/2 cups pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons tart cherry concentrate (or really tart pure cherry juice)
  • 1 Tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • dash of sea salt

  • 1/2 red pepper, diced
  • 1 ripe avocado, cut into wedges
  • optional, we tossed some leftover sauteed mushrooms

Directions in making Summer Flank Steak Wraps

Combine the liquid ingredients.

Step 1

In a large container, combine the liquid ingredients.

Add in the steak, fully coat, seal, and chill.

Step 2

Add in the steak, fully coat, seal, and chill for up to 48 hours.

Place on the counter for about 45 minutes before heating.

Step 3

When ready to cook, place on the counter for about 45 minutes before heating. Turn the grill to roughly medium or 400 degrees and allow it to come fully up to temp before adding the meat.

Cook on each side for about 4 minutes or until you hit the temperature you would like. Cooking time will vary quite a bit depending on the size, shape, thickness, and heat of the meat and grill so keep a close eye!
