One of the best things about serving crostini is that it is so versatile. You can top it with goat cheese or use it for making bruschetta. You can even simply rub each side with olive oil, add a few seasonings, and bake it!

Garlic Herb and Tomato Crostini recipe ingredients

  • Baguette Bread, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 6 slices of fresh mozzarella
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & pepper

Directions to make Garlic Herb and Tomato Crostini recipe 

Step 1

Preheat the oven to broil on a low setting.

Step 2

Add the butter, garlic, fresh herbs, and a pinch of salt & pepper to a microwave-safe dish. Heat for 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Let it stand for 5 minutes to infuse the flavors into the butter.

Step 3

Place the bread slices on a sheet pan or in a cast-iron skillet that has been drizzled with olive oil.

Step 4

Brush with the melted garlic herb butter.

Step 5

Top with slices of tomato and then the mozzarella.

Step 6

Season with a pinch of salt & pepper.

Step 7

Broil for about 5 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and cheese is melted.

Step 8

Serve as a side with dinner or as a light lunch/snack.
