Kids love fun treats (who am I kidding? I love them too!) but as parents it seems like all the “fun” treats are unhealthy and loaded with sugar. So instead of reaching for a candy bar, make your kids this Healthy Pear Alien Treat!
Not only is this treat perfect for snack time, it’s a perfect pairing (see what I did there?) to their school lunches. It would even be a great treat to serve up on Halloween! My son loves it because it looks like an alien and tastes good but I love it because of the nutritional value!
Supplies Needed to Make A Pear Alien Treat:
- Fresh Pears
- Grape Fruit Roll
- Knife
How to Make A Pear Alien Treat:
- Remove the stem from the pear.
- Cut your pears in half vertically. Tip: You can skip this step if you are making these for a school lunch.
- Open your fruit strip.
- Using your knife, cut eyes, a mouth, and nostrils out of the fruit strip.
- Place the sticky side (the side against the plastic wrapper) onto the top of the pear to form the alien’s face.
- Serve and Enjoy!
